My passion comes from a deep desire to break cycles of recidivism and challenge the stigma attached to the word “criminal.” No one should be defined solely by their worst mistake. As an intake specialist, I have the privilege of seeing the whole person behind the record to recognize their potential, not just their past. At the Abe Brown Ministries’ inspHire program, I witness individuals walk in with a glimmer of hope and leave with employment and renewed purpose. That transformation is why I do what I do.
A person is never just one thing. Someone with a child is more than a parent. Someone with a job is more than an employee. Someone with a criminal record is more than a criminal.
