Our work is rooted in a commitment to helping individuals break cycles of incarceration, rebuild their lives, and move forward with dignity, stability, and hope.
For decades, Abe Brown Ministries has remained committed to the belief that change is always possible when people are met with compassion, opportunity, and support. Our mission and vision serve as the guiding principles behind every effort we make to help individuals create stronger futures for themselves, their families, and the communities around them.
The mission of Abe Brown Ministries is to break cycles of incarceration by helping to renew the minds of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated citizens, motivating them to change their behaviors and achieve purposeful lives. We do this as a compassionate demonstration of the love of Jesus Christ.
We believe that incarceration should never define a person’s future. By investing in housing support, employment assistance, educational opportunities, mentorship, and family reunification, we help individuals build the stability and confidence needed to successfully transition back into society. Lasting change becomes possible when people are given the tools, relationships, and encouragement needed to move forward with purpose.
Our work is guided by more than programs and services — it is shaped by a shared set of values that influence how we serve others, how we support one another, and how we carry forward the mission entrusted to us. These principles form the foundation of our culture and define the standards we strive to uphold every day.
We are driven to break cycles and provide second chances, guided by our Christ-centered purpose.
We empower and uplift our clients with integrity and compassion, providing hope and stability.
We face challenges together, always showing up for one another and navigating tough moments as a team.
We strengthen our community by building meaningful relationships between our partners, clients and volunteers.
Every program, partnership, and individual we serve represents the belief that meaningful change becomes possible when people are given the opportunity to move forward. Behind our mission is real work happening every day — work that continues changing lives throughout the communities we proudly serve.
