Each year, thousands of men and women return home from incarceration only to face overwhelming barriers to housing, employment, and long-term stability. Florida continues to spend billions of dollars on incarceration, yet too many individuals return to prison simply because they lack the support needed to successfully rebuild their lives. Through housing assistance, workforce development, food security, and faith-based support, we help break the cycle of recidivism and create lasting second chances.
When individuals return to prison, the cost extends far beyond taxpayer dollars. Families are disrupted, communities suffer, and cycles of incarceration continue when people lack the support needed to successfully rebuild their lives. Breaking that cycle requires more than release. Through reentry services, workforce development, housing stability, and community support, we help individuals build lives defined by opportunity instead of incarceration.

Rev. Abe Brown was a legendary figure in Tampa Bay whose life stood as a powerful example of faith, service, and compassion for those too often forgotten by society. As a pastor, educator, civil rights leader, and advocate, he dedicated decades to uplifting vulnerable communities and creating pathways toward second chances. His legacy continues to shape our mission today as we serve individuals impacted by incarceration, support families in need, and strengthen communities through restoration, opportunity, and hope.
To Live the Brown Legacy means embracing service, stepping forward through volunteerism, and recognizing that lasting change happens when communities come together to lift others up. It is a reminder that every act of compassion has the power to create opportunity, restore dignity, and transform lives.
